It all starts with high quality Arabica coffee beans, carefully selected to compliment the particular spirit or wine. Only coffee rated "specialty grade" is used. We strive to provide only ethically sourced, fair trade coffees that enhance the lives of the growers in developing nations.
While some "whiskey coffee" makers use artificial liquids to flavor coffee, we create ours with care, attention to detail and 100% natural. We age our beans in real, all-American, repurposed charred oak wooden casks. The same barrels that make some of the best bourbons in the country. Our proprietary process imbibes the coffee beans over a matter of weeks, not days. It takes time to make a great wine or spirit, and our coffee beans are no different.
And just like aging bourbon or wine, time & careful monitoring are imperative to creating a great infused coffee. Once our roast master determines they're ready, the beans are removed, roasted to perfection and packaged in air tight bags to minimize oxygen exposure and maintain freshness.
